of Hoover, passed away on May 3, 2008, at the age of 60. A graduate of Florence State University, he had been a medical sales representative for the past 30 years and more recently owned his own medical equipment company. Jim was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and sports and was a mentor to his son and numerous young men. His life was cut short here on earth and he was a blessing to all who knew him. He was his son's best friend and was the best father ever. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, J.C. and Jimmie Henson. He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Brenda Henson of Hoover; a son, James Henson IV of Hoover; a brother, Shawn Henson (Annise) of South Pittsburg, TN; and many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 6, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Hwy. 150, Hoover. A Funeral Service will follow at 7 p.m. with Rev. Chris Sullivan officiating. Jim was born and raised in Bridgeport, AL and never lost his love or longing to move back one day. A visitation will also be at Roger's Funeral Home, South Pittsburg, TN, on Wednesday, May 7, 2008, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with a graveside service following at Rocky Springs Cemetery in Bridgeport, AL. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The Arthritis Foundation or to Ducks Unlimited.
