James Emerson

long time resident of Hoover, passed away on Tuesday, May 2, 2006, at the age of 69. He was born in Bethany, OK in 1937 and was the owner of JOT Graphics. He was a member of the Association of Cajun Music Enthusiasts. Mr. Emerson and his wife of 35 years enjoyed zydeco dancing, visiting Pearl River Resort in Choctaw, MS and making frequent trips to Jamaica. He is survived by his wife, Carol Emerson; two sons, Mickey Emerson (Gina) and Trevor Emerson (Cheryl); four daughters, Jamie Dineen (Tom), Kim Neadow (Steve), Verna Jackson (Reid) and Sandra Parrotto (Jerry); twelve grandchildren, Gabriel McBride, Briana, Elizabeth, Megan and Shelby Emerson, Adam, Kayla and Courtney Dineen, Wesley, Jessica,and Benjamin Neadow and Alex Parotto; a sister, Cherie Marcum (Bill). The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 6, 2006, from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Hwy 150, Hoover, with funeral services to follow at 3:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Pastor Stanley Kilgore officiating. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.
