James Ellenberger

 of Hoover, passed away on Tuesday, July 14, 2009 at the age of 79. He was a member of Bluff Park UMC, a graduate of UTEP, and served in the USAF during the Korean War. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Geraldine Ellenberger and a son, Matthew Scott Ellenberger. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Peggy Ellenberger; four sons, James R., Jr. (Charlene), Mark (Juliet), Michael (Brandy), Mason (Wanda); nine grandchildren, Michelle, Michael, Billy, Rachael, James, Staley, Maddie, Hunter, and Asher; four great-grandchildren; four sisters, Jane and Jeanne Ellenberger, Nancy Nicely (Jack), Dorothy Bowen (Dennis). The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 16, 2009 from 2-3 pm at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Highway 150, Hoover. Funeral service will follow at 3 pm in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South
