James Craig

89, of Birmingham, passed away on Monday, July 30, 2012. He attended Ensley High School and graduated from Auburn University after serving in the Navy during WWII. He worked at USS as an Engineer for 38 years. He was a member of Bluff Park United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Amanda and Parley W. Craig of Ensley and his brother, Clarence W. Craig of Pittsburgh PA. Mr. Craig was a devoted husband and loving father and is survived by his wife of 66 years, Martha Dews Craig, daughters, Debbie Craig Williams (Charles) of Cordele GA and Beckie Craig McRee (Dennis) of Helena AL, five grandsons, Randy Reyher (Stacy), Scott Reyher, Craig McRee (Kristin), Dr. Chad McRee and Chase McRee, one great grand daughter Holly Reyher. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 1, 2012 from 2 pm until 3 pm with a memorial service to begin at 3 pm in the Currie-Jefferson funeral home chapel. Interment will be in the Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South. Rev. Reid Crotty will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Bluff Park United Methodist Church building fund.
