James Chapman, Sr

Mr. James Auston Chapman, Sr, of Brookwood, AL, passed away Wednesday, September 11, 2013, at the age of 69. He was a US Navy veteran who proudly served his country during the Vietnam War. He was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather to his family. He is preceded in death by a son, Sammy Chapman, and great grandson, Brantley Payne Burnett. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Sandra Chapman, a son, James Auston Chapman, Jr., a daughter, Tami Chapman Burnett, five grandchildren; Daniel (Leann), Kathleen and Emma Burnett, Erica and Samantha Chapman and two great grandchildren; Easton and Laken Burnett. The family will receive friends Monday, September 16, 2013, from 10-11 AM at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home Chapel. Services will be at 11 AM with interment following in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.
