Mr. James Dale Beasley, 79, of Hoover, AL passed away on December 9, 2020. He was born on December 18, 1940 in High Point, North Carolina. He graduated from High Point High School in 1959, obtained a BS from North Carolina State University, and graduated with honors in 1963 in Electrical Engineering. He was hired by AT&T in 1963 and worked in several of its operating companies until retirement in 1997.

Dale and Rose Anne Boyles were married on August 10, 1963 and were married for 57 years. Dale enjoyed genealogy, tennis, camping, radio powered airplanes, and serving his communities with efforts as church deacon and construction in Habitats for Humanity. He was a member of Vestavia Hills United Methodist Church.

He is preceded by death by his father, James Robert “J.R.” Beasley and mother, Vera Lucille Yokley Beasley.

He is survived by his loving wife, Rose Anne Boyles Beasley; son, James Clinton Beasley; daughter, Andrea Marie Beasley Timberlake; grandchildren, Anne Elise Beasley, Maria Claire Timberlake, and Andrew Dale Beasley; brother, Robert Steven Beasley; sister-in-law, Linda Deaton Beasley; niece, Shannon Beasley; grandniece, Brie Beasley-Williamson; and 3 sets of dear friends, VHUMC Fuel Class, “Ma Bell’s” work family, and Gourmet member.

The family will place his ashes in the columbarium at Vestavia Hills United Methodist Church on December 18, 2020. There will be a memorial service held for the life of Dale Beasley in the spring when Covid-19 is controlled.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Vestavia Hills United Methodist Church Food Pantry.
