Mr. Jack H. Harrison, age 79 of Pelham, AL passed away on Thursday, March 7, 2013. Graduate of Phillips High School. Graduate University of Alabama School of Business, and University of Alabama Law School. United States Air Force (JAG) Captain. Alabama Bar Association Member, Florida Bar Association, American Bar Association, American Arbitration Association, Member Defense Research Institute. Hoover City Attorney successfully defended all tort claims against the city during his thirty-one year tenure. Instrumental in the incorporation of the City of Hoover. Former City Attorney for Trussville and Homewood. Former Municipal Judge of Gardendale. Host of live statewide TV show, "Law Line". Served as Chairman of the Board of Deacons, Finance Chairman, and eighteen years as Sunday School Superintendent of Dawson Memorial Baptist. Current member of Southside Baptist Church in Alabaster. Birmingham Real Estate Developer. Past Zamora Temple Potentate. Member and Board of Governors Director of Vestavia Country Club. Preceded in death by parents, Jack and Bessie Harrison of Birmingham, brother Jerry L. Harrison of Kenner, LA, wife of 36 years Paula Caldwell Harrison, granddaughter Allie V. Mullins, and wife 16 years Lynn M. Harrison. Survived by daughter Vicki H. Mullins and son-in-law Richard, son Jack H. Harrison, Jr. and daughter-in-law Shirley and granddaughter Amy Elizabeth Harrison. Visitation at Currie-Jefferson Memorial Gardens located at Hwy 150; 2701 John Hawkins Pkwy, Hoover, AL, Monday, March 11th from 5 to 7 PM. Service will be held at Hunter Street Baptist Church, 2600 John Hawkins Pkwy Hoover, AL. on Tuesday, March 12th at 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers family requests donations be sent to Shriners Hospitals for Children.
