Jack Grimsley, Sr

Jack Grimsley, Sr., of Pelham, passed away on Friday, January 6, 2017, at age 86. Jack was a retired Baptist minister and was retired from Detroit Diesel as a diesel salesman. He loved going to the mountains and hiking the trails. He was preceded in death by his loving and devoted wife, Sarah Grimsley who dedicated her life to caring for him and always cooking his butter beans.

Jack is survived by his daughter, Teri Isbell (Phillip); his son, Jack Grimsley, Jr. (Robin); his grandchildren, Ronny Whitfield (Camille), Chad Grimsley and Kelsey Grimsley; his great grandchildren, Ryley Smith and Rayna Whitfield; his brother, Jerry Grimsley; his sisters, Doris Strazdus and Ann Carter; and several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 10, 2017, from 1-2 PM at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home with the Service to follow in the Chapel at 2 PM. Interment will be at Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.
