Iris Hamner

Mrs. Iris A. Hamner, of McCalla, AL, passed away Friday, January 10, 2014, at the age of 81. She was a member of Reno Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Jesse Underwood, sister, Vivian Childress, and brothers, Douglas Underwood and Oliver Underwood.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Walton Hamner, two sons, Dana Hamner (Georgia) and B. J. Hamner (Mara), daughter, Mitzi Guess (David), brother, Donald Underwood, sister, Elsie Kirkland, four grandchildren, Ladd Hamner (Melissa), Chace Hamner (Kori), Trent Hamner and Mary Claire Hamner, and great grandson, Jacob Hamner.
The family will receive friends Saturday, January 11, 2014, from 5-7 PM at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be Sunday, January 12, 2014, at 2 PM at the funeral home with Reverend Roasco Kornegy officiating. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.
