Imogene West

Mrs. Imogene West, 84, of Birmingham, passed away on Thursday, October 18, 2012. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Birmingham where she was a member of the Faith Sunday school class. In recent years she attended Garywood Assembly of God. She retired from Children's Hospital after 23 years of service. She was preceded in death by her husband, John B. West and a daughter, Tammy Jean West. She is survived by her daughters, Bennie West, Terry Callahan (David), Janie Gann (Tim), Tracy Wilson and Deanna Knight (Warren); 12 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; two brothers, Charlie Rowan and Thomas Rowan; one sister, Shirley Brown and a host of nieces, nephews and loving friends. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 20, 2012 at 11 am in the Currie-Jefferson funeral home chapel with burial in the Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South. Visitation will be on Friday, October 19, 2012 from 5-7 pm.
