Hubert Daily

age 99, died at Liberty Terrace on Wednesday, February 21, 2007. He was born in Tuscumbia, Alabama on December 2, 1907, son of George Selkirk Daily and Nellie Alabama Tucker and was a graduate of Coffee High School in Florence, Alabama. He married Evelyn Riley on April 20, l930. They lived in Florence for several years, and eventually moved to Birmingham. He was an insurance agent, and was retired from Johnson, Rast & Hays in 1977. He was a member of Civitan International and Lakeside Baptist Church in Birmingham. He and Mrs. Daily moved to the Kansas City, Missouri area in l991 and took up residence at Our Lady of Mercy Country Home in Liberty, Missouri. They were members of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church in Liberty, Missouri. Mrs. Daily died on January 28, 1998, of Alzheimer's-related complications, and Mr. Daily subsequently entered Liberty Terrace Care Center in Liberty, Missouri on his 96th birthday. He is survived by two sons, Dan Daily of Seattle, Washington and James Daily of Baltimore, Maryland; a daughter, Margaret Daily Henderson of Kansas City, Missouri; five grandchildren, Liz Woods, Mark Daily, Danna Daily, Mike Henderson, and Holly Henderson; five great-grandchildren, Jamie Masters, Ronnie Woods, Michael Woods, Jacob Woods, and Riley Patricia Henderson; two great-great grandchildren, Ashlyn Masters and Christopher Masters; a sister-in-law, Mallie Daily of Florence, Alabama; as well as nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Monday, February 26, 2007, from 10 until 11 AM at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 11 AM at Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.
