of Pelham, passed away Wednesday, July 16, 2008, at the age of 89. He had been a member of Indian Springs First Baptist since 1972, serving there as a deacon. Mr. McClendon served our country in the US Army during WWII. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Dorothy; three sons, Mark McClendon (Kim), Jim Gulledge (Becky), and William V. Gulledge, Jr. (Janie); two daughters, Reba Siener (Bill) and Ginger Ozburn (Paul); twelve grandchildren, David Gulledge (Rhonda), Rodney Gulledge (Debbie), Billy Gulledge, Mary K. Gulledge, Steve Ozburn (Kim), Jeff Ozburn, Tom Ozburn, Susan Holcombe (Bo), Stacie Milam (Bryant), Stephanie Herring (Jeremi), Jordin McClendon, and Heath McClendon; eleven great grandchildren; a brother, Bill McClendon; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 PM Friday, July 18, 2008, at the Indian Springs First Baptist Church on Hwy 119 in Pelham. The funeral service will follow in the church at 2:00 PM, Pastor Clarke Skelton officiating. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South. Family requests donations be made to the church.
