HIGGINBOTHAM, HOWARD “SONNY” ELLIS, of Cullman, passed away on Friday, December 18, 2009 at the age of 78. He is survived by his wife, Jeannette Higginbotham; daughter, Rita Kay Pope (Michael); son, Danny Higginbotham; four grandchildren, Michelle Bennett (Rodney), Chris Pope (Joy), Matt Pope, and John Higginbotham; one great granddaughter, Charlee Bennett; sisters, Doris Russell, Charlene Snipes, Betty Russell, Catherine Beasley, and Rebecca Sapp; and brothers Jimmy Higginbotham and Paul Higginbotham. The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 19, 2009, from 1:00-2:30 PM at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Hwy 150, Hoover. Funeral service will follow at 2:30 in the funeral home chapel, Rev. Learon West officiating. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.
