Henry Cash

age 75, of Hoover, Alabama passed away on Wednesday, February 1, 2006. Gil is survived by his wife of 54 years, Hazel; his daughter, Jeanine Payne and husband Tommy, of Hoover; his son, Ervin Cash and wife Fran, of Peachtree City, Georgia; three grandchildren, Janet Payne, Stephen Payne and Lauren Cash, his sister, Willetta Chevalier of Nashville and brother, Paul Jacobs of Hoover. He was preceded in death by his mother, Eddie Lee Jacobs and his father, Henry Fletcher Cash. Gil was a long time member of First Church of the Nazarene in Vestavia Hills. He retired in March of 1995 from the Federal Courthouse in Birmingham, where he served in the Appeals Court. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict. The family would like to thank Dr. Wm. Guy Patterson and all of the other wonderful doctors and nurses who have helped care for him. The family will receive friends on Friday, February 3, 2006 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Hwy 150, Hoover. Funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South. Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home directing.
