Helen Higgins

Mrs. Helen Elizabeth Merchant Higgins, of Thorsby, AL, passed away May 20, 2015, at the age of 91. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Thorsby. Preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Eugene H. Higgins, Sr. She is survived by children: Louise Lawson of Ocean Springs, MS, Hallman Higgins of Lake City, FL, Deborah Hulon Adams of Alabaster, AL. Grandchildren: Matt Lawson, Hester Manning, Mary Lou Burget and Justin Lawson all of Ocean Springs, MS, Jud Hulon of Jacksonville, FL. Eight great grandchildren. Sister: Margaret O'Conner of Lawton, OK. A host of nieces, nephews.
A graveside service will be Saturday, May 23, 2015, at 1 PM at Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South with Brother Marc Hodges officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials to be made to the First Baptist Church of Thorsby Building Fund, PO Box 307, Thorsby, AL 35171.
