Helen Cotney

Helen Bechtold Cotney, of Hoover, passed away on Thursday, July 21, 2016, at the age of 88. She was born in Girard, IL, lived in Huntsville, AL, for 65 years and was a charter member of Hope Presbyterian Church in Huntsville. She is preceded in death by her husband, John W. Cotney; and her sons, Steve Cotney and Gary Cotney.

She is survived by her son, John W. Cotney, Jr. (Debra) of Birmingham; her daughters, Carol A. Cotney of Huntsville and Kathy Cotney (Steve) of Wentzville, MO; 6 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; and her sister, Elaine Waggener (Phil) of Boulder, CO.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 30, 2016, at 11AM at Hope Presbyterian Church, 10001 Bailey Cove Road SE, Huntsville, AL 35803. Interment at Wadley Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be sent to Hope Presbyterian Church at the address provided above.
