Helen Brantley

of Pelham, passed away Thursday, October 14, 2010 at the age of 84. She was a member of Pelham First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, J.W. Brantley and a son, Jimmy "Jimbo" Earl Brantley. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and aunt. She is survived by 3 sons, Billy Ray (Rhonda), Richard (Millie) and Tim Brantley; a daughter, Candi (Ted) Harrington; a brother, Dr. Cecil O. (Ollie) Brown; 20 grandchildren; and 31 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Friday, October 15, 2010 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 16, 2010 at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Dr. Mike Shaw and Dr. Cecil O. Brown officiating. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.
