Helen Blackwell

the Lord called her home on Sunday, December 27, 2009, at the age of 75. She was a very wonderful wife for 55 years and a loving mother. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Eddie Ruth Hyde of Fannin County, GA. She is survived by her husband, Fred A. Blackwell; her children, Bruce A. Blackwell (Barbara) and Karen B. Moody; grandchildren, Brett and Ashley Moody and Jesse and Michelle Blackwell; a niece, Nancy Gardner; and a nephew, Jimmy Black. We will miss our mom, our closest friend and our biggest supporter. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 30, 2009, from 10 AM-12 PM at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Hwy 150, Hoover. A graveside service will follow at 12 PM in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.
