Mr. Heber W. Foster, age 89, of Hoover, AL, passed away Monday, January 9, 2012. He was a devoted Christian, and a member of Birmingham First Baptist Church where he attended Friendship Sunday School class. He had been an active member of the Rocky Ridge Civitan Club. He served our country in the US Army during WWII. He was employed by Southern Railroad for 11 years and by Coca Cola Bottling Company for 32 years, part of which he worked for their food division, Automatic Buffet. Mr. Foster maintained a working relationship with Coca Cola for years after his retirement. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Frances S. Foster, a daughter, Patricia Foster Boozer of Anniston, two grandchildren; Foster Douglas Key (Tina) of Pelham and Kristi M. Key of Gadsden, three great grandchildren; Trenton Foster Key, Austin Tyler Key, and Nicholas Colton Key, and one nephew, Kenneth Foster (Gwen) of Hoover. The family will receive friends Thursday, January 12, 2012, from 1-2 PM at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 2 PM with Reverend Stan Lewis, Reverend Don Campbell and Dr. Anton Fourie officiating. Interment will be Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.
