Hazel Williamson

age 90 of Chelsea, Alabama passed away March 1, 2008 following an extended illness. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a charter member of Mt. Signal Baptist Church of Sterrett and Hixie Anna Chapter # 490 Order of Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her husband Spright D. Williamson, parents Samuel P. and Mary Lyda Elliott and two brothers Woodrow and Samuel Elliott. She is survived by 5 sons: Edward P. Williamson of Birmingham, Jimmy D. Williamson of Arley, Ronald F. Williamson of Chelsea, Ullman E. Williamson of Chelsea and Michael K. Williamson of Birmingham, 4 grandsons, 8 granddaughters, 7 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the staffs at Shelby Ridge Nursing Home and New Beacon Hospice for the loving care they gave Mrs. Williamson. Visitation will be Sunday March 2, 2008 from 6 to 8 PM at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Hwy. 150, Hoover. Funeral services will be on Monday March 3, 2008 at 11:00 AM in the funeral home chapel. Serving as pallbearers will be Mrs. Williamson's grandsons: Chris Williamson, Ron Williamson, Jason Williamson, Tyler Williamson, and her great grandsons Christopher Williamson II and Dylan Williamson.
