Harold Burnett

Mr. Harold Elton Burnett, of Hoover, AL, went to be with his Savior on Tuesday, October 13, 2015, at the age of 88. Elton was a proud veteran of WWII. He was a loving husband of 70 years to the love of his life, Betty and a wonderful father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was a loyal friend to all who knew him. He loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing and followed his children and grandchildren in all their sports and activities. Elton was a longtime member of Hunter Street Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife; Betty Burnett, son; Wayne Burnett (Suzi), daughters; Gloria Coppock (Ken) and Patti Burnett Milan, grandchildren; Traci Coppock, Brian Burnett (Katie), Shannon Horton (Cade), Kacy Kerbl (Frank), Nick Milan and Michael Milan, great grandchildren; Tyler Coppock, Jason and Campbell Burnett, Shelby, Molly and Reid Horton, Lily, Cameron and Ryan Kerbl, and sister; Verna Littleton.
The family will receive friends Friday, October 16, 2015, from 10-11 AM at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 11 AM in the chapel with Rev. Brian Hinton officiating. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Alzheimer's Association, www.alz.org.
