H. Jones

Mr. H. Clinton Jones, of Hoover, passed away Sunday, June 16, 2013, at the age of 83. Mr. Jones served in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict. He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Avis Jones, his parents, Porter C. and Idell Ross Jones; his step-mother, Mildred Ezell Jones; and his son, Anthony Jones. He is survived by a daughter, Lisa Ruggieri, of Hoover; daughter-in-law, Sherri Jones, of Alabaster; 2 granddaughters Cristina Ruggieri, of Hoover, and Whitney Jones, of Calera; a grandson, Garrett Jones, of Alabaster; and 2 cousins, Lucy Tidwell, of Killen, and Monk Flippo, of Florence. The family will receive friends from 9-10 AM, Thursday, June 20, 2013, at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Hwy 150 in Hoover. Funeral service will follow at 10 AM in the funeral home chapel, Pastor David Byrd officiating. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South. The family would like to say a very special "thank you" to Becky Lodewick (special friend and caretaker), Robert Norwood, Brenda Davis, Home Instead, and Gentiva Hospice.
