Greathell Mills

Mrs. Greathell Mills, 89, of Vestavia, formerly of Mt. Vernon AL passed away on Sunday, December 23, 2012. She was a member of the Amity Sunday School at Mountain Chapel United Methodist Church. She is retired from Searcy Hospital in Mt. Vernon. She was preceded in death by her husband Henry Eugene Mills. She is survived by her two sons, Robert E. Mills (Carol), Don Wayne Mills; one daughter, Diane Mills Caylor (Oscar); six grandchildren, Donna Orr (Justin), Buddy Hoydich, Danielle Mills, Michael Mills (Susan), Bo Mills (Angie) and Ashley Hill (Jonathon); 11 great grandchildren; one sister, Maleen Pritchett; two brothers, Emory Darby and John Charles Rackley. Several nieces, nephews and a host of friends. The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 27, 2012 from 10 am until 11 am at the Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home Chapel with services to begin at 11 am. Interment will be in the Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South. Rev. Tom Parrish will be officiating.
