Gordon Hatcher

of Hoover, passed away on Monday, May 23, 2005, at the age of 84. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran of World War II and was retired from South Central Bell after 30 years of service. Mr. Hatcher was a member of the Echota Cherokee Tribe of Alabama. He is survived by his wife, Hazel Hatcher of Hoover; a son, Gordon T. Hatcher, Jr. (Jerri) of Bessemer; 2 daughters, Carol Anne Magee of Bessemer, and Missy Beavers of Pleasant Grove; 9 Grandchildren; 3 Great-great Grandchildren; and a brother, Bill Hatcher (Joanne) of Augusta, GA. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 27, 2005, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Hwy. 150, Hoover. Funeral service will be on Saturday, May 28, 2005, at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South. Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home directing.
