Gladys Gordon

of Hoover, passed away on Monday, October 2, 2006 at the age of 89. She was a member of Dawson Memorial Baptist Church for the past 30 years, where she was part of the Dawsonaires senior choir. Mrs. Gordon was a long-time employee of Lakeshore HealthSouth Hospital. She was a loving mother and grandmother and was an inspiration to all who knew her. She was noted for her "decorated" walking canes. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Gordon. She was loved and will be missed by all. She is survived by a son, Ron (Nina) Gordon; four grandchildren, Michelle (Richard) Cochran, Noel Gordon, Danielle (Michael) Greene and Patrick Gordon; and four great grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 3, 2006, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 4, 2006, at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, with Dr. Neal Schooley officiating.
