Geraldine Burrell

Geraldine "Jerri" Burrell of Bessemer, passed away on Monday, October 5, 2020, at the age of 85.  She was born in Sunflower, MS but has been a resident of Birmingham for the past 58 years.  She was also a longtime member of Birmingham First Church of the Nazarene.
Jerri is survived by her husband of 65 years, Vaughn Burrell; a son, Dwight Burrell (Celeste); 2 daughters, Kathy Benson (Steve) and Carolyn Stanford (Doug); 9 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and 1 brother, Larry Marter.
The family would like to give a special thank you to Jerri's caregivers, Sandra Parrish, Tamara Woodard, and Rebecca Lewis for all of their love and dedication.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 8, 2020, from 10-11 AM at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home. The service will follow in the Chapel at 11 AM. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.
