Gerald McLeod

Gerald Ray McLeod, age 87. Passed away on Friday, December 27, 2024. He was a General Contractor for over 32 years and was the founder of Charter South Inc. He was a Sunday School Teacher at Lakeside Baptist Church on Rocky Ridge Rd. and served in the US Army.

He is survived by his wife, Allie McLeod of 32 years, Laura (Curtis) Gossett, Jeffery (Cindy) McLeod, Four sisters, Barbara Thornton, Patricia Matthie, Marilyn (Scott) Ramsey, Debbie (Don) Ford, three grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 2, 2025 at 1pm in the chapel of Currie Jefferson Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at 12:30 pm. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens South.

Ray wrote to his beloved Allie on their anniversary, November 21, 2024

"Hello Love of My Life. Happy Anniversary. I can't remember how many years ago I fell in love with you. Probably 40 years at least. The last 32 years have been the best years of my life. We've seen a lot in our lives together!! I thank God often for allowing us to become a couple. You are my everything and I wouldn't trade you for any woman on earth. I love you dearly. Your always faithful husband"
