Georgina Mcfarland

Georgina Askins McFarland of Birmingham, Alabama was taken home to be with God on Sunday Dec. 1st, 2013 after a long battle with being a Brittle Diabetic. Even though Gina had a tough time physically as of late in life it never stopped her from watching out for animals in need, for which she donated what she could to many animal charities.
She was preceded in death by her Grandparents, Claudia Crawford, Fred and Myrtle Askins, her father, George Askins and brother, Rudy Askins.
She is survived by her loving mother, Frances Askins, sister, Cyndi Askins, brother, Keith Askins, step-mother, Sara Askins and numerous loving Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and her lifetime devoted friend, Martha Dodson.
Visitation will be on Thursday 12-05-2013 at 1:00 PM with services to follow at 2:00 at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home.
