Georgie Prather

PRATHER, GEORGIE MAE, of Vestavia, passed away on Saturday, October 10, 2009, at the age of 87. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Wallace Vernon Prather; two sisters, Jo Walden (AL) of San Antonio, TX and Gloria Ann Phillips (Lawrence) of Huntsville; four nephews, Chip Duncan (Ann) of Atlanta, GA, James Walden of San Antonio, TX, David Phillips (Susan) of New Bern, NC, and Timothy Phillips (Chérie) of Raleigh, NC; and a host of relatives, neighbors, and dear friends. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 13, 2009, from 12;00-1:00 PM at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home on Hwy 150 in Hoover. A graveside service will follow at 1:00 PM in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South, Jim Profetto officiating.
