Early in his career he lived in Santa Fe where he worked laying out plans for I-40. After returning to Birmingham, he worked on boiler systems across central Alabama. George and his wife enjoyed traveling the world. He visited Europe, China, Hawaii, Alaska, and Canada. But most of all, he loved wood working in his backyard shop. He is survived by his son, Geoff Taylor; daughter Jennifer Taylor; grandchildren Aegwyn and Graeme; step grandchildren, Drew, Micah, and Noah; his brother, Wayne Taylor (Sydney); his sister Phyllis Otto; and many extended family members. He was loved by all who knew him and will be terribly missed.
