In the early hours of Friday morning, “Little George”, as affectionately called by his parents and family was called home to heaven and into the loving arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  A true living miracle from birth, George was born with multiple holes in his heart which required open heart surgery as a baby. His life was given a bleak assessment by the doctors however our amazing God had a different plan and gave George a life of nearly 68 years which allowed him to be such a blessing to everyone including his beloved family and friends.  A Master plumber by trade, George, a humble gentleman, was very gifted and could fix and build most anything.  That is what he enjoyed doing the most in addition to reading his bible, fishing and outdoor activities.   He is loved and will be greatly missed in this life but is now completely healed and is awaiting us in heaven.

George is survived by his wife, Alice Huguley Rogers

Children: Brittany Michelle Rogers (Juan)  & George Brandon Rogers (Jessica)

Grandchild: Isabella Jasmyne Rogers

Mother: Rosemary Rogers Smith and Step Father, Floyde Smith

Brother: Michael B. Rogers  (April)

Sisters: Carol Rogers  & Connie Harper-Olvey  (Ed)

Foster children: Tyler Lawley, Gabriel Lawley, & Jacob Woods

A host of loving nieces, nephews and many other family members

Services will be held on Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at 2:00 P.M. at Currie Jefferson Funeral Home in Hoover, AL. Pastor John Adams will be conducting the services.  The family will receive friends from 1-2 P.M. prior to the service at the funeral Home. Burial will follow at Mars Hill Cemetery in Hoover, AL.
