George Reitzammer

George William (Bill) Reitzammer, 68, went to be with his Lord and Savior February 10, 2014. He was the most loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather.

He is survived by his wife, Dr. Ann F. Reitzammer; daughter Lisa O’Dell; grandsons, William and Walker; sisters, Sharon Hammonds and Susan Williams; and brothers, Dr. Rocky Reitzammer and Alan Reitzammer.

Mr. Reitzammer served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War, and he graduated with a degree in electrical engineering from Louisiana Tech University where he was selected as an Alumnus of the Year. He retired from a distinguished engineering career in 2010 from B. E. & K. Engineering (KBR) where he served as Manager of the Department of Electrical Engineering. During retirement, he and his wife became avid Bridge players at the Birmingham Duplicate Bridge Club where Mr. Reitzammer served on the BDBC board.

Services will be held at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home in Hoover on Saturday, February 15, with visitation at 1:00 and funeral services at 2:00.

The family requests that any remembrances be made to the Louisiana Tech Athletic Department.
