Geneva Nivens

Geneva "Ruth" Nivens, of Birmingham, passed away Saturday, March 12, 2016, at the age of 80.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Calvin W. Nivens. She is survived by her son, Jeffrey Nivens (Anna); her daughter, Melanie Tingle (Robby); and 4 grandchildren, Dianna Gould (Brendan), Leah Tingle, Dylan Nivens, and Brookelyn Nivens.

The family will receive friends from 6-8, Wednesday, March 16, 2016, at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Hwy 150 in Hoover. Funeral will be 10 AM, Thursday, March 17, 2016 in the chapel, J.D. Davis officiating. Interment will be in the Alabama National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donation be made to the Alabama Baptist Children's Home or the Jimmie Hale Mission.
