Geneva Carden

of Hoover, passed away Wednesday, February 23, 2005 at the age of 77. Mrs. Carden will be remembered as a loving and beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was retired from Liberty Supermarket. Mrs. Carden was a member of St. Peter The Apostle Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, J. D. Carden; her brother, Salvadore Colafrancesco; grandson, Jason Bell; and her parents, John and Madeline Colafrancesco. She is survived by her three sons, Johnny Carden (Kathy), George and Christopher Carden; three daughters, Jeanne Davis (Ronnie), Joan Bell (Col. Don Bell) and Elaina Maples (Larry); six grandchildren, Eva Marie and Jonathan Carden, Lee and Reeves Bell, Gina Colby and Steven Davis; two brothers, Tony Colafrancesco (Mary Ellen) and Louis Colafrancesco (Anita); six sisters, Annie Marie Henson, Bernice Callans (Charles), Josephine Fawcett (Harlan), Catherine Willis (Bob), Virginia Jones (Robert) and Providence Hooper (Sam). The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 24, 2005 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Hwy 150, Hoover. Funeral Service will be in the chapel on Friday, February 25, 2005 at 11:00 a.m., with Father Henry McDaid officiating. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Gardens in Bessemer.
