Gene Smythe

Mr. Gene D. Smythe, age 83, of Birmingham, AL, passed away Thursday, May 5, 2011. He is preceded in death by his wife of sixty years, Corrine Smythe. He was the past president of Toastmasters and owner and founder of Rets Electronics. Mr. Smythe is survived by a brother, James Smythe (Betty), two sisters; Grace Cullum, and Doris London (Charles), sister-in-law, Pat McLoud (Ed), several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends. Funeral services will be Monday, May 9, 2011, at 1:00 PM at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 12-1. Interment will be in Mimosa Cemetery, Lawrenceburg, TN.
