Garfield Tarpley

was born May 11, 1937 in Detroit, MI to the late Homer Garfield and Mary Ann Tarpley. He leaves behind to cherish his memories, his devoted wife of 27 years Brenda Tarpley, 5 daughters, 1 son, 4 sisters, 13 grandchildren, 4 great-grands, mother-in-law, 2 sisters-in-law, 3 brothers-in-law and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends. The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 12, 2009, from 1 - 2 p.m. at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Robert J. Reese officiating.
