Fred Sandlin, Jr

of Joplin, MO, formerly of Alabaster, passed away on Monday, November 20, 2006, at the age of 54. He was a graduate of Thompson High School and a graduate of the University of Montevallo, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude. Mr. Sandlin also attended graduate school at the University of Alabama. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Alabaster. He is survived by his wife, Virginia Scott Sandlin; a daughter, Barbara Sandlin; parents, Fred and Grace Sandlin; a sister, Tammy Sandlin Hope (David N.); a nephew, Christopher N. Hope (April); and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. The family will receive friends on Friday, November 24, 2006, from 1:00 until 2:00 pm at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 pm with Rev. Mike Byars officiating. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South. Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home directing.
