Frank Marchese

age 79, of Hoover, passed away on Sunday, November 16, 2008, at 8:40 in the morning. Frank resided originally in Pittsburgh, PA where he first met his devoted wife at a church dance. It was at this time they began their journey together which resulted in fifty two years of marriage. Being the strong man that he was, Frank worked as an Iron Worker in Pittsburgh and retired after a tragic accident. Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Guiseppe and Josephine Marchese. He is survived by his wife, Geraldine "Ace" Marchese; to whom he was a beloved and devoted husband; his daughter, Catherine Hess (Patrick), to whom he was a caring father; grandchildren, Shawn Brainard (Sally), Corey, Branden, and Kristen Alfano, to whom he was a loving grandfather; brothers, Santo Marchese (Connie) and Jack Marchese (Joanie); godchildren, Geno Marchese, Krista Walters, Michelle Roecker, Stephen Smith; sister-in-law, Rosie Hart (Jim); and he was a loving Uncle to many nephews and nieces. He will be missed by many, including his sidekick, "Ed" Smith (Patty). Family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM, Tuesday, November 18, 2008, at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home on Hwy 150 in Hoover. Funeral Mass will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, November 19, 2008, at Prince of Peace Catholic Church.
