Frances Virginia Avery

Frances Avery, 95, passed away on September 28, 2024.

Frances was born on August 19, 1929 in Orlando, Florida, to William Logan and Lola Simmons, and grew up in Bradenton, Florida.

While working in Atlanta, GA, she married Thomas Avery on April 19, 1958. After moving to Jackson, MS, they had their first son Bob. Their second son Tom arrived after moving to Birmingham, AL, where they stayed for the rest of their lives.

Frances and her husband Tom lovingly adored each other until his death on April 7, 2010, just short of their 52nd anniversary.

She was a great woman of faith in her Lord and Savior and shared her love for Christ in both words and actions.

She devoted her life to loving, serving, and praying for her husband Tom and children Connie, Bob, and Tom. As her family grew with in-laws, nine grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren, her love extended to each of them.

Visitation will be on Sunday, October 13, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Currie-Jefferson Memorial Gardens, with a service to follow at 2:00 PM.
