Floria Cook

, of Calera, passed away on Saturday, April 25, 2009 at the age of 85. Her life was dedicated to her family. She was an amazing woman and will be dearly missed. She was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Homer Samuel Cook, Sr. She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Parker (Danny); five sons, Homer Samuel Cook, Jr. (Marcia), Charles Ray Cook (Denise), Darrell Eugene Cook (O'Mara), Thomas Lelton Hopper (Peggy) and Elton Anthony Hopper (Sandi); thirteen grandchildren; twenty one great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; her brother, Donald Hood (Glenda); three sisters, Doris Tidwell, Maggie Sutton, and Grace Myrick; and a host of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 29, 2009 from 10-11 AM at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Highway 150, Hoover. Funeral service will follow at 11 AM in the funeral home chapel. Entombment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.
