Flora Gandy

Mrs. Flora L. Gandy, of Bessemer, AL, was received by the King of Glory, Jesus Christ, on Wednesday, June 11, 2014, at the age of 88. She was a member of Canaan Baptist Church for the past 49 years. She was a sales clerk for many years at Pizitz-McRaes.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Walter Gandy and an infant son, Richard Walter Gandy.
She is survived by her son, Rick Gandy (Teresa), two daughters, Lynda Gandy Langhorne and Judy Gandy Norris (Jeff), eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Saturday, June 14, 2014, from 1:30 - 2:30 PM at Canaan Baptist Church. Funeral service will follow at 2:30 PM with Rev. Morgan Bailey and Rev. Stanley Littleton officiating. Interment will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family request contributions be made to the Canaan Baptist Church Building Fund.
