Evelyn Mayo

January 4, 1930 — November 6, 2016

Evelyn Niven Mayo, of Shannon, passed away on Sunday, November 6, 2016 at the age of 86. She was a member of the Baptist faith. Evelyn loved flowers, hummingbirds and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Kelley Lee Mayo and her infant son, Steven Lynn Mayo.

She is survived by her daughters, Virginia Bonds (Richard), Sharon Tucker (Garry) and Kathy Mayo; a son, Albert Mayo (Ann); granddaughters, Melissa Mayo and Katie Abney; daughter in love, Louise Mayo; and special canine friend, Jozy. Also, several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 9, 2016 from 1 to 2 PM at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 2 PM in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.
