Evelyn Jones

of Hoover, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away on Friday, October 14, 2005, at the age of 90. She was a founding member of Riverchase Baptist Church. She made her home at Galleria Woods Retirement Community, where she was an original resident. She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Lyman Curb Jones, and her brother, Charles Edward Lynn. She is survived by her daughter, Lynn Yeager, granddaughter, April Danielson (Gregg), great grandchildren, Catherine and John Patrick Danielson, all of Hoover; and by her son, Lyman Jones Jr. (Sara), grandchildren, Matt Jones (Jennifer) and Ben Jones (Buffi), and great granddaughter, Savanna Jones, all of North Augusta, South Carolina. The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 15, 2005, at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Hwy. 150, Hoover, from 4 to 6 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, October 16, 2005, at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Dr. Ron Grizzle officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Cemetery in Athens, AL. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made to Riverchase Baptist Church, 2020 Crossvine Road, Hoover, AL, 35244.
