Evelyn Estes

of Hoover, passed away on Friday, June 12, 2009 at the age of 80. She was a native of Chilton County, a graduate of Maplesville High School and had attended Montevallo College. Mrs. Estes was an engineering draftsman for Southern Bell Telephone for 12 years. She was a member of Rocky Ridge United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women. She was preceded in death by her parents, Allen Kyser and Willie C. Morgan, and a sister, Patricia Morgan Adair. Mrs. Estes is survived by her husband of 51 years, William M. Estes; 2 sons, Keith M. Estes (Margaret) and Scott C. Estes; 3 grandchildren, Meagan, Morgan and Ian Estes; 3 brothers, John Hugh Morgan (Jean), William C. Morgan, and Allen K. Morgan (Sandra); and a sister, Barbara M. Wesley (Bill). The family will receive friends on Monday, June 15, 2009, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Hwy. 150, Hoover. Funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Tom Parris officiating. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South. Memorials may be made to Mountain Chapel United Methodist Church.
