Mr. Euin McLemore, age 88, of Pelham, passed away on June 9, 2012. Euin was born in Sulligent, Alabama on August 10, 1923. He served as a medic in World War II and worked at U.S. Steel and APAC in Birmingham Alabama where he retired. Euin is survived by his loving wife, Maxine, after 66 years of marriage, two children, Linda Lima and Jerry McLemore,, five grandchildren, Jonathan Self, Sarah Boyett, Michael Lima, Deborah Lambdin, and Thomas McLemore, as well as six great grandchildren, Charlotte Self, Alexandria Enriquez, Nicole Boyett, Tyler Lambdin, Annabell McLemore and Margaret Ann McLemore. Euin is also survived by four siblings, Jack McLemore, Mellie Nolan, Sammie Gunnels and Dorothy Warren along with many nieces and nephews, and a host of in-laws. Euin is preceded in death by his father, Samuel Augustus McLemore, his mother, Pearlie, three brothers, Paul, Mac and Frank, three sisters, Ruth Egger, Annie Bell Rogers and Mary Lou Bookout, and three nephews, Alton McLemore, Frankie McLemore, Jackie McLemore and two infants. All who were acquainted with him recognized how much family and friends meant to Euin, who never met a stranger. He was loved by his family and friends and will always have a place in the hearts of those who knew him. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 13, at the Currie Jefferson Funeral Home Chapel from 10:00 a.m. till 12:00 p.m. with services to begin at 12:00. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens South.
