Eugenia Calk

Mrs. Eugenia J. Calk, of Birmingham, AL, passed away Thursday, July 31, 2014, at the age of 87. She was a member of Vestavia Hills Baptist Church. She worked as Custodian of Funds and Secretary to the Superintendent of Schools in Vestavia Hills, AL. She was very proud of the work she did in the mission field. She and her husband were Mission Service Corps volunteers and enjoyed Campers on Mission travel.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Jack C. Calk, Jr., granddaughter, Linda Christine Montgomery, and sisters, Julia Bersoux, Margie Weaver, and Bernice Churosh.
She is survived by son, Mark C. Calk (Leigh), daughters, Pamela Calk and Becky Kawell (Greg), grandchildren, Mary Amoroso (David), Robbie Calk, Jesse Kawell (Halie), Abigail, Sam, Jack, Chris and Nathan Kawell, great grandchildren, Sarah and Evelyn Amoroso, brother, Robert W. Jones, III, and sisters, Gin Moore, Lucy Tillman, Joy Duval and Sarah Lewis.
The family will receive friends Monday, August 4, 2014, from 10-11 AM at Vestavia Hills Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 11 AM at the church with Reverend Gary Furr officiating. Interment will be Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.
