Eugene Nail

Rev. Eugene Roberts Nail of Plano, Texas, formerly of Birmingham, Alabama, went home to be with his Lord on April 2nd, 2012. He was 83 yrs. old. "Gene" was born in Birmingham, Alabama on November 28, 1928. After serving in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, Gene became a graduate of Southeastern Bible College in Birmingham, AL, Gordon-Conwell Seminary in Boston, MA, and Southwestern Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, TX. Gene faithfully served the Lord pastoring churches in Maine, Texas & Alabama for many years. He was preceded in death by his mother, Sarah (Roberts) Nail and his father, Charles Joseph Nail, Sr. of Birmingham, AL; brother Dr. Charles Joseph Nail, Jr. of West Point, MS; and his beloved wife, Emily (Tillman) Nail of Waycross, GA. He is survived by his daughter Rebecca Ralls (Nelson) and granddaughter, Sarah Ralls of Plano, TX; his sister, Evelyn Nail MacDonald of Atlanta, GA., and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 12:00-2:00 PM, Friday, April 6, 2012 at the Green Valley Baptist Church in Hoover, with funeral following at 2:00 PM. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Green Valley Baptist Church building fund, or the American Cancer Society. The eulogy will be delivered by Dr. D.L. Ireland of Birmingham, AL. and Dr. Patrick Stewart of Huntsville, AL.
