Ernestine Erwin

Mrs. Ernestine Williams Erwin, 84, of Birmingham, AL passed away on June 15, 2021. Ernestine (also known as Ernie or Mimi) was a lover of all things sparkly. She loved her family and loved taking care of them. He was a stay-at-home mom for many years but also worked numerous jobs around the city. In her spare time, you could always find her at her kids or grandkids sporting events or spending time dancing at Heardmont Senior Center. The last two months of her life was spent at River Highlands Adult Assisted Living Facility. There, she found new friends, adored the staff, and had lots of fun.

Ernestine in preceded in death by her husbands, John Freeman Speer and Robert “Buddy” Erwin; son, Alan Speer; parents, Jack Williams and Winifred Walters; brothers, Billy Kelley and Jack Williams, Jr.; and sister, Ruth Rushing.

She is survived by her daughter, Lee Ann Dasher (Bob), grandchildren, Lauren Worrell (Nathaniel), Billy Dasher (Brooke), Matt Speer, Greg Speer, and Carly Speer; great-grandchildren, Kailyn, Colton, and Aly; and stepsons, Randy Erwin (Sharon) and Danny Erwin (Linda).

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
