Ernestine Bodie

of Alabaster, passed away on Thursday, April 27, 2006, at the age of 86. She is a member of the First Baptist Church of Alabaster and a former member of Southpark Baptist Church where she had served as a Sunday School teacher, played music and sang in the choirs at both churches. Mrs. Bodie was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Odell Bodie. She is survived by a son, Timothy Bodie (Lori); a daughter, Joy Bodie; 6 grandchildren, Shawn Hasenfuss (Leigh Ann), Brandon Hasenfuss, Blake Hasenfuss, Christopher Rose (Stephanie), Amber Burr (Marty), and Cameron Rose; 5 great grandchildren, Brady Hasenfuss, Taylor Brooke Hasenfuss, Ryan and Hailey Burr, and Alexis Rose; 2 brothers, Howard Flowers (Barbara) and Lavelle Flowers (Marian); and a sister, Dolly Fletcher. The family will receive friends on Friday, April 28, 2006, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Hwy. 150, Hoover. Funeral service will be on Saturday, April 29, 2006, at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Wayne Crumpton officiating. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.
