Eric Simonson

Eric M. Simonson, Age 47, born May 29,1974 and died May 19, 2021. Eric was preceded in death by his sister Andrea Kelly Simonson. He is survived by his daughter Aaliyah Simonson, his mother Dorothy Simonson Hodge, his father Richard Simonson (Joyce Simonson). He has two step brothers Jeff Otwell (Jennifer Otwell) and Josh Otwell (Lee Otwell). He has several aunts, uncles and cousins. Eric was a graduate of Chesapeake High School in Essex Md. The most precious and treasured gift he lived for was his daughter, Aaliyah. He was bass guitarist for the heavy metal band Slaves to the Day. He worked as a delivery driver and night shift supervisor for Wood Fruitticher Grocery Co and he worked in construction. May Eric forever rest in peace. There will be a Celebration of Life on Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at 2:00 PM at ONEeighty Church in Springville  with Rev. Alex Conwell officiating.

Prayer for Serenity

God, grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change,
the courage to change the things I can,
and the wisdom to know the difference.
Living one day at a time,
enjoying one moment at a time;
accepting hardship as a pathway to peace;
taking, as Jesus did,
this sinful world as it is,
not as I would have it;
trusting that You will make all things right
if I surrender to Your will;
so that I may be reasonably happy in this life
and supremely happy with those I have lost forever in the next.
